I see the exquisite nature of oil paint as an engaging thing. It’s glow is timeless. The process of laying out colour on a palette and re-arranging it with brushes and knives into a painting is magical, a window is being opened onto another world.¬†Love Art

Landscape

With landscape, like many before me, I’ve grown very attached to painting the coast of the Wild Atlantic Way, that is, the west coast of Ireland. Any chance I get, I travel with my easel and just stop and paint along the way.

Back home, it’s good to have a landscape of your favourite place on the wall for days when the weather doesn’t permit you to go out, or you live in some place far away, sort of takes me back there. Buy a Landscape Painting

Still Life

When I work on a still life painting, I want the painting to be organic, and allow for a sometimes funky & always strong sense of colour. There is usually some glass, a shelf, or a piece of cloth to set the stage. Images in oil of vibrant fruit and vegetables are great to have on the wall of your kitchen or dining area.
