Colours of the Wild Atlantic Way

My palette at Clogher. It was a very bright day and I was especially glad to have the umbrella shading my work.

September 2014 and I turned to a young visitor at Clogher strand and said “where are the waves?”, he spontaneously replied “we were promised them too!!” The water was really still. The air was so calm that I didn’t even need the tent pegs to secure my easel up on the headland. I struggled in the¬†bright light though, to get the colours of the cliffs and grasses, but I’m very happy I persevered.
